Antique "Allez Freres" Saute: 8"D

Newly invented methods of mass production in the mid- to late 1800s in France created the industrial revolution, which gave birth to la Belle Epoque and the era of department stores.  Whereas previously people would buy items such as cookware from local artisans, they could now have their choice of a dazzling array of items from any number of beautifully decorated mega stores.  

This petit sauté comes from one such store.  Located at 1 Rue St. Martin, Allez Fréres was known for its highly designed and branded kitchen items.  This piece, in remarkably good condition, is a testament to that history.  Check out that store stamp!

Fully restored and relined with 99.99% pure, food safe Tin.
