Considered something of a hybrid between a saucepan and a sauté, the shape of this fait tout ( "does it all") allows one to more easily make a sauce, as the angled side allows a whisk to contact more surface area inside the pan. This heavy piece was made and sold by the famed E. Dehillerin Paris, and dates from 1900-1940.
