L.F. Duparquet & Huot was a premier American coppersmith and kitchen equipment manufacturer created in New York City in 1852 by French immigrants. It became famous for outfitting the lavish kitchens of Gilded Age mansions such as the Vanderbilts' "The Breakers" mansion in Rhode Island. Today the pieces are highly sought after as some of the best examples of American antique copper cookware.
This set comprises the sauté, which was made at the factory at 43 & 45 Wooster Street in New York City (1852 to 1889) and the lid, made at 24 & 26 Wooster (1889-1915).
The sauté has a lot of character and has seen a lot of use. Both pieces are fully restored and re-lined with 99.99% food safe Tin.
